LTO Left Turn Only....

I have for a long time been a huge fan of flame spitting, methanol burning, left turning Speedway bikes so when legend Hasse "Manolito" Holmqvist had a mid 90's Jawa 500 motorized machine for sale I plonked down for it. Picked it up and after coming home with it I just had to have a testrun, WOWWWW this thing rocked my world!!! Plans are now for a Mini Bobber with Mustang tank, Avon Speedmaster rear, skinny front, keep the chromed frame, doing rear fender & fuel tank in suede black with plenty pinstriping but still keeping with the Speedway flavour of the bike....

YZ Gravel Racer...

A couple of boxes of 1983 Yamaha YZ 125 parts landed in the DP Race Tech workshop during last summer, I decided to do something fun to terrorize the lovely dirt roads around Mosta Hill on during warm days. I went to town with a grinder on the frame, removed all unwanted brackets and painted it all black, a motor was rebuilt by good friend Max with new piston, clutch, bearings, seals & gaskets and painted black. The plastic was also painted black (see a trend here?) and UFO Supermoto front fenders was fitted front & rear (!?!?!?), the seat was upholstered in synthetic suede by Johan Ström and taper bars from Street Fighter by Access was fitted. The wheels had some spokes replaced, painted black and fitted with Vee Rubber on-off road tyres, an old but undamaged 80's FMF exhaust was picked up and fitted together with a new FMF Shorty silencer. The rear shock is an old Fox that has been rebuilt and shortned some 50 mm, the forks are rebuilt with new seals and all....

DP's Shop Hack...

It started out as a carpenters 2000 Skoda PickUp in quite a sad state but it was perfect for me to haul parts, bikes, beer & friends. Painted suede grey, fitted with Cobra lowering springs and 6x15" steelies with 175-55-15" Bridgestones topped of with Moon Discs gives it a Salt Lakes Look. The motor is a stock 1.3 MpI fitted with a K&N filter and custom 2" exhaust, inside there's a Luisi steering wheel, Tiki doorlock pulls and some retro touches.....
