I have had it for quite a while now, Bro Hot Rod Max also has it and good friend the wine & spirits guru Ingela has also caught the bug, I made her ride a 09 Vespa LX 125 at Scooterpremiären and all she's been talking about since is: I must find me a Vespa!!!! She already has a Phillipe Starck designed Aprilia Moto 6.5 but the urge to own a classic Vespa was overwhelming and today she called: I got one!!!! I bought an 80's Vespa P 80!!!! I am a Scooteristi!!!!! I feel the need, the need for vinyl mods boots!!!!

Saturday June 27'th, my birthday and I had plans to take Dee-Dee Ducati for her first spin to The Iron Horse MC Show at Nyköpings Hamn but sadly electrics put a stop to that so I called on friend Ingela and her Aprilia Moto 6.5 to join me and Vespa GTS 300ie for a day with bikes & sun. The weather was awesome, we took the "old E4" down and stopped for breakfast at Saltå Kvarn, once at Nyköping we went to say hello to Kent "Ryssen" Farman from Norrvalla MC who now besides Ural also sell Royal Enfield and man do I want one of those!!!! Other things that caught my eye was metall flake paint high & low, wide rear tyres, Harley Nightster and the headlight from the Night Rod that will most likely find it's way onto Dee-Dee Ducati. I only saw one (1) Ducati but I guess Ducati owners are way to occupied with pondering it's racing heritage to go to a Bike Show, atleast two Ducatisti (me & one more) had a perfect day in the sun at a great low key event, I will NOT miss Iron Horse MC Show 2010......

Beeing out of the hospital I had to catch up on things important so Saturday I jumped on the Aprilia 750 Shiver and drove over to Max to check out how he was doing the day after Midsummer and to see what's going on. During the winter his 572 Chevy stuffed 34 3-window got a new front end and it looks oh soo right!!! I guess I'm partly to blame for the Vespa Primavera that he has so nicely kept mostly untouched and it looks wayyyyy cool....
NO not the Billy Ray Cyrus "hit" but my own ticker. I have most likely had a silent myocardial infarction a month or so ago that has led to congestive heart failure, this all gave me an Ambulance ride to Akademiska Sjukhuset Uppsala with one of Swedens best Cardiology Departments. Since Tuseday I have been "infused" with tons of drugs (sadly none of the fun stuff) all the way to nitro glycerine and today I feel like life is coming back, slowly but with the "crew" taking care of me I will most likely walk out of here before Midsummer. I have never in my life spent this much "down time" in a Hospital so I have really nothing to relate it to but the whole "crew" here is the best there is and I have them to thank for beeing able to ride yet another summer....

The girl's almost done now, on Saturday I took her over to good friend and Hot Rodder Max for some Old School scallops on both bike and KBC helmet, he also welded some fixings for tail light and turn signals now all I have to do is wire her up and off we go......

Finally!!!! Easter weekend and the weather was awesome, I lit up my oil drum and burnt a winters worth och old branches and stuff and the first Tussilago was spotted, now it's time to roll out the girl....
